Renewable energy is playing an increasing role in Brazil’s energy outlook – Brazil has one of the world “greenest” and sustainable energy mix. Nearly 90% of electricity supplied in Brazil in 2012 came from renewable. In addition to traditional renewable sources such as hydro-electricity and sugar cane bagasse, Brazil is now developing a large number of wind and solar projects.
