On 4th June 2024, our flagship event, the Personality of the Year Awards Gala Dinner, took place at Drapers' Hall.Around 230 members and friends of the Brazilian Chamber celebrated the achievements of Alex Saigh, CEO of Patria Investments and Angelica Ruiz, President Latin America at BP.Photos of the event can be seen here.
Alexandre Saigh is Patria’s Chief Executive Officer and a member of its Board of Directors. Mr. Saigh is Patria’s co-founder and was responsible for the Private Equity division, overseeing it since inception to become Latin America’s leader and evolve to a global sector player. During these years he also acted as Chairman, CEO and CFO of several portfolio companies.Patria is a leading alternative investment firm specialized in resilient sectors with a global presence and on-the-ground expertise.
With more than 20 years of dedicated service in the energy industry, Ms Ruiz has garnered significant recognition, notably featuring in Bloomberg's 'The 500 Most Influential People in Latin America' and Forbes' 'The 100 Most Influential Women in Mexico' lists.With assets of over US$ 280 billion worldwide, bp is committed to its ambitious aspiration to achieve Net Zero by 2050 and Brazil has a pivotal role in this strategy.

Angelica Ruiz Celis will be the recipient of the Personality of the Year Award 2024 representing bp, on the British side.
