The Brazilian Chamber’s Gala Dinner & Personality of the Year Awards 2024 will take place at Drapers’ Hall, a splendid venue located in the heart of the City of London, on Tuesday, 4th June.
The Gala Dinner, a popular black-tie event, usually recognizes the achievements of business leaders who have significantly contributed to strengthening commercial relations between Brazil and the UK.
Each year, distinguished leaders from the global business, financial, and diplomatic sectors gather in the City of London at this traditional Gala to collectively honour the recipients.

Angelica Ruiz Celis will be the recipient of the Personality of the Year Award 2024 representing bp, on the British side.
With more than 20 years of dedicated service in the energy industry, Ms Ruiz has garnered significant recognition, notably featuring in Bloomberg's 'The 500 Most Influential People in Latin America' and Forbes' 'The 100 Most Influential Women in Mexico' lists.
With assets of over US$ 280 billion worldwide, bp is committed to its ambitious aspiration to achieve Net Zero by 2050 and Brazil has a pivotal role in this strategy. As the Regional President for LatAm, whilst also incorporating the leadership of Brazil and Mexico into her remit, Angelica's leadership is central to bp's strategy, including instrumental assets in Brazil such as Lightsource bp, bp Bunge Bioenergia, and Gas Natural Açu. These efforts have not only contributed to bp's sustainability goals but have also bolstered economic cooperation between Brazil and the UK, celebrating over 50 years of bp's presence in Brazil.
Alexandre Saigh, CEO of Patria Investments, will be the recipient of the Personality of the Year Award 2024 on the Brazilian side.
Alexandre Saigh is Patria’s Chief Executive Officer and a member of its Board of Directors. Mr. Saigh is Patria’s co-founder and was responsible for the Private Equity division, overseeing it since inception to become Latin America’s leader and evolve to a global sector player. During these years he also acted as Chairman, CEO and CFO of several portfolio companies.

The Keynote speaker for the evening at the Gala Dinner will be Gabriel Galipolo, Deputy Governor for Monetary Policy at Banco Central do Brasil - Brazil's Central Bank.
